HUGO has large collection of Themes, though every themes has unique look and feel to it, some are easier to work with but has limited set of features and others are having good array of features but are difficult to work with.
I have tried almost 10-15 themes before selecting the theme I am currently using for this blog at the time of writing this article. I very much like the look and feel of this theme but it lacks some functionality like HTML Injection into a post (or may be I am yet to learn it) but I can live with it for now.
While trying out all the themes I just had one thought in my mind that I should choose such a theme which will make me want to write a new article every day, and I can keep learning from other stuff like page load speed, SEO optimization, Google search indexing etc, few days ago I didn’t even knew of these terms but I am learning and tweaking this theme as per my requirement.
So. I’ll advise to choose a theme which you like and keep tweaking it as per your requirement rather then trying to find a perfect theme try to tweak your way to a perfect theme for you.
With all said below are the list of themes which I fell are good themes to try out
- Hugo Future Imperfect Slim (Current Theme for this blog as of 2020-05-21).
- Liva Hugo
- Parsa Hugo.
- Github Style
